Sainsbury’s West Bridgford:
New sustainable store plans
Sainsbury’s is proposing to redevelop the site formerly occupied by The Chateau pub, off Wilford Lane, into a new foodstore.
Following on from public consultation undertaken last year, we are pleased to confirm that we have revised the plans and submitted a planning application to Rushcliffe Borough Council.
Whilst most of the proposal for a new Sainsbury’s on this site remains the same some revisions mainly to the highways have been included in the submitted revised plans.
Sainsbury’s in West Bridgford will include:
- A store with a 51,236 sq ft (4,760 sq m) sales area
- A wide range of popular Sainsbury’s food products
- Fresh food counters
- A customer café/restaurant
- Customer toilets with disabled and parent/child facilities
- Approximately 610 car park spaces with dedicated disabled and parent/child spaces
- A pick-up/drop-off point
- Cycle hoops and motorcycle parking
- Cash machines
- A recycling centre
- A new bus lay-by on Wilford Lane
- An Explore Learning Centre for children
- Retention of existing mature trees and additional landscaping
